John Adams served on the Board of Directors at the Oakley Bank. He also served as the town’s sheriff for several years. He married Annabell Warburton and they had ten children. Annabell passed away in 1911, and John married Mary Jane Phippen in 1913 and they had Opal Adams who would marry William Odell Tolman.  The Adams home was a beautiful home and is still standing today with a number of renovations.
