Picture: Cyrus Oakley and Sons.

During the time of the Great Depression Cyrus Oakley Tolman was making payments on a new car for the family. And for a period of a couple of months Cyrus Oakley Tolman had no way to make a payment on that car. So, he asked his sons to hide that car and not to tell him where it was. And on that large farm in Oakley Idaho the car was hidden. While the sheriff and bank manager did come by to repossess the car it was no where to be found. It was not until a year later that Cyrus Oakley Tolman made payments on that car and in the short run paid it off. If such a thing were to happen in 2013 there would be legal action including jail time for that person in such a situation.
