The Marion Dance Hall was a favorite place for the Marion kids and adults alike. The hall was built in 1906, the same year the Marion Chapel was constructed. Peregrine Sessions Freestone and Martha Myrtle Tolman met here and later married. Martha and Peregrine danced here the night before their son, Arlow Freestone was born. Today, the dance hall is own by President David Pickett (current Stake President as of September 2016) and serves as a venue for wedding receptions and other community activities. The hall still features the original wood flooring and a balcony for the band.
