Dedicated in October 2000, this monument’s purpose is to celebrate and honor the men, women and children who came across the plains prior to 1869 and settled in Tooele. The monument features 800-plus names of the original pioneers and is located at 200 West and Vine Street (Tooele County Historical Attractions). Among these early pioneers were Cyrus Tolman, Alice Bracken, Margaret Eliza Utley, and their children, Judson Tolman and Sarah Lucretira Holbrook and their children, Benjamin Tolman, and Sarah Jane Angell among others.
